Don't underestimate the abilities of a small car.

With the all-new 2018 Kia Rio, small vehicles are back in style. The fourth-generation Rio is considered a subcompact car, but don’t let that fool you—it packs a punch and plenty of features. And due to its affordable price tag, it's set to become a favorite among the models in its segment.

No model over $19,000*

Kia is proud to announce that no Rio model will cost more than $19,000—which is an impressive feat for a vehicle well-equipped with the latest technology and safety features.* The base LX sedan will run you $13,900 and comes with a 5-inch infotainment system and SiriusXM® satellite radio.* The Rio S will cost $16,100 for the sedan and $16,400 for the hatchback,* and both come standard with a backup camera. The top-of-the-line Rio EX will cost $18,400 for the sedan and $18,700 for the hatch,* and includes optional leather seats, a 7-inch infotainment screen, and Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Better features, better gas mileage

All Rio models are expected to ride on the same 101.6-inch wheelbase, which equates to an additional 0.4 inches between the front and rear wheels compared to the current model. Thanks to its longer wheelbase and more upright cabin design, it’s expected that the car’s interior dimensions will also increase. Riders will be treated to an interior designed to better resemble the larger Kia Optima and Cadenza. The Rio’s dash angles toward the driver and includes a floating infotainment system. The Kia Rio's 1.6-liter, 120-horsepower, inline-4 engine offers an efficient drive with an EPA-estimated 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 37 mpg highway).**
