The Land Rover Range Rover Sport set the bar high when it debuted in 2013, and it just keeps getting better. The 2017 Range Rover Sport features a host of improvements that will give drivers a top-of-the-line luxury driving experience like no other. This exquisite new model is available at 3Birds Template, and we are eager to show you all of the improvements.
Because driving a Range Rover Sport means announcing your arrival wherever you go, Land Rover designers wanted to give you even greater customization. Customers are now able to choose from a wider array of paint options (19 to be exact).
One of the most significant changes on the interior lies in the introduction of InControl Touch Pro™, which allows you to swipe through screens as you would on a smartphone or tablet, and the hard keys that existed in previous models have been eliminated, giving drivers an overall cleaner interface. The new feature also upgrades from an 8-inch screen to a 10.2-inch display with functional pinch and zoom capabilities. Need to zoom in on the map? You can do it in the 2017 Range Rover Sport.
Drivers will benefit from Commute Mode, a new smart function that learns regular trips so that owners don’t have to manually set a destination. If a regular route is congested, Commute Mode will redirect you to a quicker course. If you live in an urban area and often complete your trip on foot after parking, door-to-door routing allows you to set a route through the Range Rover Sport app, transfer it to your vehicle, and then view final directions on your smartphone once the vehicle is parked.
Connect your smartphone to the vehicle and take advantage of custom bespoke apps for contacts, calendars, and music. Take even greater control of your ownership experience when you check mileage, fuel level, climate control, remote start, and more through the app.
When you’re cruising through the city, you may not be too concerned with towing capabilities, but part of the thrill of owning a Range Rover Sport is the ability to discover the unknown. All-terrain capability is one of the founding pillars of the model, and the 2017 model takes off-road abilities to the next level.
Low Traction Launch assists drivers when accelerating from a stand-still on a low-grip surface, such as mud or ice. This feature is active at or below speeds of 19 mph and can also be used to navigate slippery surfaces or inclines once the vehicle is moving. Select this function through the touchscreen menu or Terrain Response 2 controller when driving in Grass/Gravel/Snow mode.
The All-Terrain Info Center is another new feature that displays vehicle geometry, slope assist, and wheel information. Take advantage of Drive Assist to master low-speed maneuvers when driving in off-road mode.
If you’re towing your boat or trailer, Advanced Tow Assist technology assists drivers in the ever-challenging task of reversing while towing a trailer. A rear-facing camera sends images to the central touchscreen, allowing the driver to utilize the Terrain Response® 2 rotary controller. The Range Rover Sport will then steer itself into place while the driver operated the accelerator and brake pedals. If a jack-knife situation is imminent, the system will alert the driver with ample time for him or her to correct the vehicle’s path. While backing up, drivers will also be able to monitor their surroundings by using the Surround Cameras.
The 2017 Range Rover Sport comes with a suite of standard features, including Rear Park Distance Control, Cruise Control, Speed Limiter, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Lane Departure Warning. The optional Drive Pack adds a Blind Spot Monitor; Traffic Sign Recognition; Reverse Traffic Detection; and new for 2017, Intelligent Speed Limiter and Driver Condition Monitor.
Intelligent Speed Limiter utilizes Traffic Sign Recognition to read speed limit signs and adjust the vehicle’s speed if needed, while Driver Condition Monitor takes time of day and journey time, along with an analyzation of steering inputs, to alert the driver if signs of fatigue are showing.
Choose the Drive Pro Pack and benefit from Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and Intelligent Emergency Braking, as well as Blind Spot Assist and Lane Keep Assist, two new features on the 2017 model. The vehicle will gently apply a steering correction should there be an imminent collision with someone in your blind spot, and Lane Keep Assist will correct the vehicle’s path if a driver veers out of their current lane without indicating.
Overall, the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a luxury vehicle designed to take you through town or down the road less travelled without sacrificing luxurious comforts, the latest technology, or all-new driver assistance features. If you’re interested in learning more about this exciting new model, we would be happy to show you the innovative features and well-appointed finishing touches.
