3Birds Template is excited to announce that Volvo Cars will be the first vehicle manufacturer to integrate Spotify, a popular music streaming service, in its new cars. This new addition, recently announced at Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, will modernize the vehicles’ music capabilities, and the first models to be included in this spring’s upgrade are the new Volvo XC90, S90, and V90.

Spotify in Volvo

To access Spotify in these vehicles, a Premium subscription will be required, but a 30-day free trial period will be available for those new to the service. The app, which is normally accessed on a user’s phone, will also be available through a unique and custom-made interface in the car. It will contain all of the user’s favorite playlists, artists, and albums, and will deliver high quality streaming. Making it even better, the all-new XC90, S90, and V90 models have a Bowers & Wilkins sound system.

The service will be available for Volvo owners in all countries where Spotify is available. It is currently able to be streamed in Volvo cars via Bluetooth® or Apple CarPlay®, but the upgraded user interface in new models will provide a richer experience with search functionality not found in non-native applications.
