The 2016 Scion iM has arrived. And what better way to kick-start its arrival than with an award from Kelley Blue Book?

The iM hasn’t had time to collect any dust on the showroom floor, and already the experts at Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com ranked the 2016 Scion iM sixth in their “10 Best Back-to-School Cars of 2015” list.

Every year, KBB’s list of 10 Best Back-to-School Cars highlights new vehicles that are ideal for students and teen drivers. This year, KBB.com editors praised the 2016 iM for its efficient four-cylinder engine, robust safety features – ranging from the hill start assist to eight airbags –, and student-friendly perks like the six-speaker audio system and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Scion iM also bridges the gap between what parents desire, practicality and safety, with what student/teen drivers look for in a car—namely style and fun features. Beyond that, the iM proves a smart choice thanks to its $18,460 starting MSRP.

For that price, customers get a six-speed manual transmission along with a 7-inch Pioneer Touchscreen Display Audio System with HD Radio Technology and the Aha app, providing Facebook and Twitter feeds, and access to over 100,000 Internet radio choices. All of which come standard.

The 2016 iM can also be outfitted with an intelligent CVTi-S automatic with 7-step shifting. Starting MSRP for the CVTi-S model is $19,200.*

The 2016 iM is already winning critics over with its outstanding value, superb styling, and dynamic handling. Not bad for model that has yet to roll out nationwide. Still, the latest award from KBB.com is just another reason why the iM is a great choice for customers looking for something safe and reliable, but also fun to drive and stylish.

*All prices listed above exclude the delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee of $795.
