We are getting excited about the newest member of the MINI lineup, the MINI Convertible.
Due to go on sale in March 2016, the MINI Convertible is the first open top MINI powered by BMW Group engines and architecture. Backed by the very best Bavaria has to offer, the MINI Convertible is a premium four-seater soft-top convertible that merges practicality with MINI’s near-endless customization.
Driving a MINI is about having fun while also expressing one’s individuality. The MINI Convertible continues this trend by offering shoppers a choice of 11 exterior color options, including the new Caribbean Aqua and Melting Silver, the latter of which was recently introduced on the new MINI Clubman.
There’s even more customization inside. Here, you can choose from a number of premium seating options, including a new Malt Brown leather with premium diamond-stitching. If you’re looking for even more style, you can opt for the new MINI Yours soft-top featuring an embroidered Union Jack with herringbone pattern detailing.
The new MINI Convertible is available with your choice of BMW Group-developed three- and four-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology engines. Keeping with MINI’s tradition of offering unique and dynamic motoring, both the Cooper Convertible and Cooper S Convertible come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission. For those that wish to relinquish transmission duties, the MINI Convertible can also be had with a smooth, quick-shifting 6-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
Pricing for the new MINI Convertible, including both Cooper and Cooper S variants, will be announced in January.
