For almost two decades, the Prius has been the world’s “go-to” hybrid car. Launched in 1997, the Toyota Prius has wowed us all with its great price, its roomy interior, and of course, its amazing fuel economy. Stylish

The newest Prius sports an athletic shape with longer and sleeker lines than previous generations. An aggressive departure from the straightforward designs of the past with a front end dominated by a multi-dimensional lighting scheme, the 2016 Prius’s headlights sweep back toward the hood, making the vehicle look like it’s in motion even when standing still.

Efficient

As is to be expected from a Prius, this newest model boasts outstanding fuel efficiency. But more than that, the 2016 Prius is the first of Toyota’s global vehicles to take advantage of the brand’s “Toyota New Global Architecture” (TNGA). TNGA is part of Toyota’s push to be more efficient with its resources, and the automaker’s goal is to improve resource efficiency by better than 20%.

Fun to Drive

More than just efficient, the 2016 Prius is exciting behind the wheel as well. The new model is a few inches longer and little bit lower than previous ones, and when you combine that with its all-new rear double wishbone suspension, you end up with a supremely efficient—and exciting—ride.
