On September 20, MINI USA announced the addition of the 2017 MINI John Cooper Works Clubman to the iconic lineup.
“Performance and versatility are part of our DNA and our heritage, so naturally there has always been a plan in place to bring the John Cooper Works variant to the MINI Clubman model,” said Thomas Felbermair, Vice President MINI of the Americas.
A 2.0-liter MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology engine kicks up 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, thanks to help from the ALL4 all-wheel drive system. Fans of the performance line may notice that this is the most torque available on any John Cooper Works model, and they’d be correct.
The ALL4 all-wheel drive system distributes power to the front and rear wheels as needed throughout your entire drive, and the entire vehicle sits 0.4 inches lower, giving you even greater grip and control on the road.
A sports exhaust, refined suspension, and Brembo® brakes are also included. Whether you choose the standard 6-speed manual transmission or 8-speed Steptronic sports transmission, be prepared to accelerate from 0 – 60 mph in six seconds.
