MINI fans, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for—the automaker has recently announced updates for its 2018 lineup. Changes across all vehicles include the available Head-Up Display on/off control being moved to the center screen and the ring-styled driving mode selector being replaced with a toggle switch. Drivers can also expect to see a revamped fuel gauge and turn signal stalks.

Additionally, a rearview camera is now included standard, complete with on-screen guideline graphics and an audible warning when approaching an object. The Technology Package also gets upgraded with Front and Rear Park Distance Control with Parallel Parking Assistant; this feature previously cost drivers an additional $500 fee.

2018 MINI Hardtop 2 Door

While MINI hasn’t revealed any changes to this model, it’s still a blast to drive. Should the automaker announce updates in the future, you can find information in our newsletter.

2018 MINI Hardtop 4 Door

The metal inlays on the rear door sills will be removed for the 2018 model year, but the front door sills will remain the same as the previous model.

2018 MINI Clubman

In similar fashion to the MINI Hardtop 4 Door, the metal inlays from the rear door sills will be removed. From July onward, production of the 2018 Clubman includes Apple CarPlay™ as part of the Technology Package, and Attentiveness Assistant is now a standard feature.

2018 MINI Countryman

Following suit, the 2018 Countryman will have Apple CarPlay™ included in the Technology Package. The Convenience Package has moved the elastic strap from the left side of the cargo area to the right side, and Attentiveness Assistant is standard.

2018 MINI Convertible

Last, but certainly not least, the 2018 convertible is back for another spin. The spare compact tire will no longer be available, but this change does not impact the Cooper S and John Cooper Works models as they did not previously offer a spare.
