To celebrate the 130-year anniversary of Benz’s and Daimler’s world-changing invention, Mercedes-Benz recently announced a special edition Mercedes-designo®® 4MATIC® Cabriolet “Edition 130.” This ultra-exclusive model (only 130 specimens will be made) features lavish appointments that honor the legendary Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow race cars.
The Mercedes-AMG® S63 4MATIC® Cabriolet "Edition 130" is a special take on the open-top four-seater. It sits on 5-twin-spoke 20-inch forged alloy wheels and sports a special, high-gloss “Alubeam silver” paint finish, which has not featured since the 2014 SLS AMG®. Also unique to the “Edition 130” is a custom red fabric top, brake calipers painted red, and floor mats with Bengal red edging.
The interior is equally remarkable, thanks to exclusive Bengal red/black designo® Nappa Leather upholstery. Also featured prominently throughout are trim elements in AMG® carbon fiber/piano lacquer black.

In addition to its breathtaking design, the four-seater cabriolet offers unrivaled performance. Under the hood lives a 5.5-liter V8-biturbo engine that serves up 577 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. All that power enables the Mercedes-AMG® S63 4MATIC® Cabriolet "Edition 130" to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds.
As we mentioned before, only 130 Mercedes-AMG® S63 4MATIC® Cabriolet "Edition 130" will be made available worldwide. Underscoring its rarity will be a badge in the middle console and an engraving on the steering wheel bezel.
Owners lucky enough to get their hands on this model will also receive a tailor-made AMG® Indoor Car Cover – complete with embroidered lettering “Edition 130 – 1 of 130” – to protect the vehicle during storage. Mercedes-Benz notes that customers will also receive a Welcome Package with “Edition 130” badge key ring and an aluminum box for the vehicle’s key.
