
Matthew McConaughey began working with the iconic luxury brand last year shortly following his Oscar win, when he helped create a series of ads for the all-new Lincoln MKC small utility vehicle, the Lincoln MKZ and the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. The spots went over very well with consumers, and now he’s working with Lincoln again to create spots for the new Lincoln MKX.
The new commercials will tell a story over the course of three television spots, and viewers can visit Lincoln.com if they would like more details. The theme of the spots is “The Feeling Stays with You”, and the audience will watch as the story unfolds, with new characters being introduced to help shape the narrative.
The series of spots are created by the world-renowned director, Gus Van Sant. Mr. Van Sant and Mr. McConaughey work together beautifully to create a memorable story. When asked about his work on the series, McConaughey commented, “What appeals to me about this new series of ads is that while the overall Lincoln message remains consistent, the way it is delivered continues to evolve. It’s exciting to have the freedom to explore and create new narratives.”
