Without much competition on land, Lamborghini looked to the skies for a vehicle to race. In an exciting new Lamborghini video, the Aventador S Coupe challenges an airplane to a race through the Livigno Alps in Valtellina, Italy.

As the video opens, a skier is taunted by an aerobatic plane. He soon abandons his skies and gets behind the wheel of the Aventador S. He takes to the road, challenging the plane, then heads into the snow for some pretty impressive maneuvers thanks to standard all-wheel drive. In a chase scene reminiscent of Top Gear or The Fast and the Furious, the Aventador S more than holds its own.

The Aventador S is an invigorated version of the previous Aventador with 40 more horsepower than its predecessor. This new Aventador has a 6.5-liter V12 engine that boasts 740 horsepower and 508 pound-feet of torque. The Aventador S can do 0 to 62 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph.

But speed isn’t its only asset. Handling is also improved with a four-wheel steering system. Enhancements to the aerodynamics increase downforce by 130 percent. The Aventador S is equipped with a new customizable feature called Ego mode that allows the driver to select individual settings for everything from suspension to steering and throttle response. In addition to the personalized settings, the Aventador S has three pre-programmed modes: Strada, Sport, and Corsa.

The interior is appointed with the kind of cutting-edge technology and quality materials you’d expect from a luxurious super sports car. Innovative materials include available Carbon Skin® with the option to leave certain parts of the carbon body left exposed.  The instrument panel includes an interactive TFT LCD display with all-new graphics.

Of course, the only way to fully experience the thrill of Aventador S is to drive it. Visit us at 3Birds Template and we’ll make it happen.
