The Nissan Rogue has seen steady growth since the release of the second-generation model in 2014. Now, Nissan designers and engineers have rolled out an updated model for 2017, complete with new powertrain options, eye-catching design, and an expanded suite of Nissan Safety Shield® features.
Rogue Power
If you’re interested in leaving a smaller footprint on the environment (and who isn’t?), the 2017 model is the first in the Rogue lineup to offer an additional powertrain with its gasoline-electric hybrid option. By utilizing a compact Lithium-ion battery and 30kW electric motor, one-motor/two-clutch system, and Nissan’s advanced Intelligent Dual Clutch system, the 2017 Rogue Hybrid produces an estimated net system horsepower of 176 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque.
Drivers can expect to see an estimated fuel economy of 33 mpg in the city and 35 on the highway, coming together for a combined 34 mpg rating* in the front-wheel drive hybrid model, while the all-wheel drive model is expected to receive 31/34 city/hwy for a combined 33 mpg.*
Opt for the non-hybrid 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, and you’ll get up to 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Switch between Sport and Eco mode for friendly driving when you want it and performance when you need it.
Fuel economy numbers do decrease here, but not by much. With a projected 26 city/33 highway mpg* for front-wheel drive models and 25 city/32 highway* in the all-wheel drive model, you can still go the distance.
Rogue Design
An updated exterior design with Nissan’s signature “V-Motion” grille, redesigned headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights, chrome trim along the doors, and LED boomerang taillights in the rear are sure to turn heads as your drive by. SL models also receive 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels to further enhance the upscale and athletic stance of the Rogue.
Body-color heated mirrors, privacy glass, and roof rails round out the exterior styling. Drivers and passengers alike will also love the panoramic moonroof, and a Motion-Activated Liftgate that opens using a kick sensor system is standard on the Rogue SL.
Inside, you’ll find special Zero Gravity front bucket seats with available Quick Comfort™ heated seats. SL models come standard with leather seats, and drivers can choose between the standard two-row, five-passenger seating or optional three-row, seven-passenger seating arrangement, both of which allow for transporting items of all shapes and sizes thanks to the EZ Flex Seating System™ that maximizes interior space with the ability to fold down every seat, excluding the driver’s seat.
The Rogue leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to in-ride entertainment. With standard SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, 4-speaker audio system, 5.0-inch center display, Bluetooth® capabilities, and iPod® interface, you’ll stay connected no matter where you roam. Other available features include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, Bose® nine-speaker audio system, and Remote Engine Start.
Rogue Safety
Of course, when it comes to safety, Nissan has you covered. Six standard air bags and a zone body construction ensure that in the event of a collision, passengers will be protected. Vehicle Dynamic Control compensates for oversteer or understeer by monitoring your steering and braking and reducing engine speed or applying brake pressure to specific wheels when needed.
Available Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield® Technologies help you drive responsibly with Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Moving Object Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These systems work in tandem to make sure that you stay safe in any situation.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue has all the safety and convenience features you’re looking for while looking stylish and refined at the same time. Experience the advancements Nissan has packed into this model for yourself when you contact our team to schedule a test-drive of this exciting model today.
