During this year’s Paris Motor Show, INFINITI debuted the QX SPORT Inspiration, an elegant next-generation mid-size SUV concept.
The model features muscular lines and an athletic stance, along with the signature INFINITI double-arch grille, fluid shaping, and “human eye” headlamps. Although it’s a mid-size SUV, the QX SPORT Inspiration incorporates a coupe-like design and a “lean-forward” stance, giving it a unique and stylish look on the road. It will also look just as stylish when tackling unpaved trails, made easier with raised ground clearance.
Other stunning design features include vertical blade-shaped vents on the front fender that allow cool air to the front brakes, vertical vents behind eye-catching wheel arches that reduce drag, and a performance-inspired rear diffuser that further improves aerodynamics.
Inside, INFINITI carried over its “driver-centric, passenger-minded” approach to the cabin architecture. The front of the vehicle is focused on the driver’s needs to provide a confident driving experience. A four-seat layout features floating seats in the front and rear that are suspended above the floor to provide more room, ensuring that each passenger has their own personal space. A fifth seat is available if needed.
Designers have included various materials inside the cabin, including black saddle leather, white leather, and Ultra-suede®. Notes of natural tan peek out from the interior’s mainly black and white surfaces, providing a striking blend of form and function. A minimalist design has been applied to the driver controls that helps shift the focus back to a pure driving experience.
