There's no question that when it comes to incredibly hot vehicles, Lexus instantly comes to mind. So it should come as no surprise to anyone that Lexus recently teamed up with Huy Fong Foods (the maker of Sriracha) to make a car fit for those with a taste for the spicy. As Brian Smith, Lexus vice president of marketing, said, "The new Lexus IS is so hot, we decided to make it Sriracha hot, with all the custom details every Sriracha fan will appreciate."
And there are custom details galore in the Sriracha IS, from the Sriracha Driving Mode, which tunes the powertrain for faster gear changes, to the handcrafted seats with the Huy Fong rooster logo and Sriracha color scheme, to the exterior paint color (which included the spicy chili sauce as one of its ingredients). The trunk of the vehicle is fully stocked with 43 bottles of the delicious sauce for "emergency condiment situations," according to the press release, and even the key fob itself can dispense sauce from a little nozzle at the top.
Though the Sriracha IS isn't for sale, the non-chili-themed version is still pretty spicy. The 2017 model has undergone a styling redesign, with a refreshed hood, wheel and instrument panel, new headlamps, a new version of the Lexus spindle grille, and more.
