Customer satisfaction with service in the auto industry appears to be increasing according to the J. D. Power 2017 U.S. Customer Service Index Study (CSI), and Lincoln is one of the leaders driving this trend. Lincoln outscored every American manufacturer to finish among the top three brands in customer satisfaction.

Lincoln outscored almost every brand regardless of segment

J.D. Power’s CSI measures customer satisfaction among owners and lessees of one- to five-year-old vehicles. The CSI is divided into the luxury segment and mass market segment. Mass market brands came in at an average score of 807 out of a possible 1,000 points. Luxury brands averaged 859, with Lincoln scoring an impressive 868—the highest of any American automaker.

Lincoln made the Top Ten Most Dependable list

It’s no surprise that Lincoln scored so high in the CSI study. Lincoln builds automobiles people can depend on. Last year J.D. Power listed Lincoln as one of the Top Ten Most Dependable Automakers in its Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS). Every year, this study analyzes responses from owners after three years of ownership to determine the number of problems they’ve had in the past 12 months. The study is based on responses from over 33,000 people.
