Chevrolet retains its position as a leader in the industry with five vehicles leading their segment in the 2016 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study (IQS). For the past four years, Chevrolet has earned more awards than any other brand, and at 3Birds Template, we’re proud to carry that performance and legacy on to you.

These rankings follow Chevrolet’s impressive showing in the 2016 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, where the brand again had more models ranked in the number one position than any competitor.

In this year’s IQS, the 2016 Silverado 1500 received a top score for light-duty trucks, while the Silverado HD earned top marks for the heavy-duty truck category. The Equinox tied for first in the compact SUV lineup, with a score fifteen points higher than the average for that segment.

The Tahoe led the way in the large SUV class with a score nineteen points higher than the average, and last but not least, the Chevrolet Spark ruled the city car segment by earning a whopping forty-eight points higher than the class average.

Vehicle improvements stem from Chevrolet’s focus on the customer which has led to an increase in sales by 0.6 percentage points so far this year, making Chevy the fastest growing full-line brand.

The IQS has been helping customers make informed decisions about buying a new car for thirty years. Rankings are based on responses from over 80,000 people ninety days after the purchase or lease of a new model.  This survey identifies potential issues with a vehicle’s exterior, interior, powertrain, seats, features and displays, HVAC, audio and navigation, and overall driving experience.
