Staying connected is about to get a whole lot easier when you drive a 2018 Hyundai. Hyundai plans to include three years of Blue Link® connectivity with Google Assistant compatibility on all of its 2018 models. Blue Link® subscriptions will also be included on the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, Ioniq Plug-In Hybrid, and Ioniq Electric models.
The rollout begins with the launch of the 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT, the 2018 Santa Fe Sport, and the redesigned 2018 Sonata. Remote door locking, remote start with climate control, and a vehicle health report available monthly are among the features included. All of the features will be accessible through smartphone, smartwatch, and Amazon Alexa.
Hyundai is also adding Google Assistant to the Blue Link® service, which operates through the Google Home voice-activated speaker. The technology allows users to control Blue Link® functions with voice commands. The owner will be able to tell Google to have Blue Link® start the vehicle, set the temperature, unlock the vehicle, and more.
"We continue to lead the industry with these better customer-focused integrations," said Manish Mehrotra, director of digital business planning and connected operations for Hyundai Motor America. "With the advent of Google Assistant's capabilities, we want to provide Hyundai owners with the comfort of remote-starting their car on a hot summer afternoon or the security of remotely locking their Sonata Hybrid while it's parked in the garage at the end of a long day."
Other standard Blue Link® features include operating the horn and lights and optimizing charging for hybrid and electric models. Some of the most significant functions include automatic collision notification, SOS emergency assistance car finder, and stolen vehicle recovery. Parents will appreciate the control of curfew alert and geo-fencing.
Standard Blue Link® connectivity on the new 2018 Hyundai models will offer even more convenience, versatility, and freedom for Hyundai drivers. Learn how you can be one of the first to enjoy these new features at 3Birds Template.
