Do you have what it takes to out-drive Formula 1® star Romain Grosjean? Soon, the new Jaguar "Art of Performance" global tour will let you put that theory to the test.

Grosjean recently had the honor of being the first driver to take on Jaguar's innovative Smart Cone course in the new Jaguar XF. The Smart Cones, which will be featured at a number of tour locations, use wireless technology to randomly illuminate pairs of cones. The result is a course that's different every time with a million different potential options.

The car's position is tracked 100 times per second, so the ratings on this course are highly accurate. The driver's final score report takes into account the model of car used, the weather, and driving conditions.

Grosjean, whose performance can be seen in the video below, took on the Smart Cones to kick off the global tour in Europe. "My tip for Smart Cones is to stay completely alert and engage your peripheral vision, as the randomness of the course is perhaps the biggest challenge," he says. "Trust me, it's a lot harder than it looks, and I'd welcome you to try to beat my score of 49032."

The Art of Performance tour will visit more than 600 venues in 46 countries over the next 12 months with more than 100,000 attendees expected. Activities will range from the Smart Cone challenge to wet and dry extreme condition challenges, giving guests the chance to put the newest models in the Jaguar lineup to the test.

"The aim of the Art of Performance tour is to show the performance and design of the new, revitalised Jaguar product range, representing a completely new generation of Jaguar cars to the world," says Bob Grace, Regional Director, Jaguar Land Rover Europe.
