The Audi R8 Coupe also holds the honor of offering more performance than any other Audi production model thanks to a V10 mid-engine and enhanced quattro® drive. In its most powerful configuration, the R8 V10 plus, the vehicle boasts 610 horsepower and sprints from 0 to 62.1 mph in only 3.2 seconds.
The R8 Coupe V10 plus also includes plenty of other innovative and attractive features:
- 77-pounds lighter weight
- Standard Audi carbon ceramic brakes
- Carbon fiber rear diffuser
- Front lip spoiler
- Racing shell seats for the first time ever in the United States
With this latest recognition, the R8 is now the most successful model in the history of the World Car Awards (the R8's predecessor earned two World Performance Car awards and a World Car Design of the Year award). This year's voting was conducted by an international jury of 73 leading automotive journalists, making the new R8 a truly global sensation.
