2. The 2018 model looks meaner and more aggressive than ever before

For this new model year, the Q50 has undergone a stylistic refresh, boasting updated front and rear fascias, a sharper grille and headlights, and new taillights and sporty exhaust tips. All in all, it makes for a clean look with plenty of exciting lines to admire.

3. You'll feel connected to the road

It's a difficult line to walk, but the Q50 pulls it off—suspension sensitive enough that you get a sense of the road but not so sensitive that it transmits bumps and imperfections as you drive. Add in Direct Adaptive Steering, INFINITI's steer-by-wire system, and you can carefully adjust the Q50's feel until it drives just how you want it to.

The set of convenient paddle shifters certainly isn’t the only feature in the Q50 Red Sport 400 to liven up the driving experience, of course—don't forget about its 400-hp 3.0L V6 and Direct Adaptive Steering system—but it is certainly one of our favorites. Slip the seven-speed automatic transmission into manual mode, and the Q50 Red Sport 400 gives you the reins. (So get ready to put those horses to work.)

5. It comes with a host of technologically advanced driver's aids

Active Lane Control, Blind Spot Intervention, and Predictive Forward Collision Warning—the Q50 Red Sport 400 comes equipped with these features and more, which makes sense given the trim's top-of-the-line status. It doesn't quite drive itself, but when a car is as fun to drive as this one is, we're not complaining.
