The 2018 MINI Countryman now comes standard with two new powertrain options (including the brand's first plug-in hybrid option), standard rearview camera, and Attentiveness Assistant on all models, with Apple CarPlay™ now making an appearance in the Technology Package.

It’s the biggest, most adventurous, and best-equipped MINI ever. The new MINI Countryman comes standard with a plethora of options and is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. With more cargo capacity, headroom, and legroom, it’s a MINI you'll love at first sight.

MINI offers a generous array of standard equipment, including a panoramic sunroof, SensaTec leatherette upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, MINI Connected infotainment system, Bluetooth®, Siri® Eyes Free voice control for iPhone users, automatic headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. 

The 2018 MINI Clubman is a five-door, five-seat crossover utility vehicle. Trim levels include the base Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper ALL4, Cooper S ALL4, John Cooper Works ALL4, and Cooper S E ALL4. Pricing starts at $26,600.* As with all MINI models, there are also plenty of accessories and options for personalization, meaning your Countryman doesn’t have to be like anyone else’s.

Drive & Handling

The base engine option is a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged engine, which produces 134 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission (with a six-speed automatic transmission as an available option). The Cooper S Countryman has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 189 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, while the John Cooper Works is powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine that receives a more powerful 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the hybrid Cooper S E ALL4 is equipped with a 1.5-liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that's paired with an electric motor and receives 221 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque combined.

The base Countryman gets an EPA-rated fuel economy at 24/33 city/highway mpg with the manual transmission and 24/32 city/highway mpg with the automatic.** All-wheel-drive Countryman models get 22/32 city/highway mpg with the manual transmission and 23/30 city/highway mpg with the automatic.** Cooper S Countryman models get up to 23/32 city/highway mpg with the automatic, while their all-wheel-drive variants are rated at 21/31 city/highway mpg (manual) and 22/31 city/highway mpg (automatic) respectively.** The John Cooper Works Countryman gets 20/29 city/highway mpg,** and the hybrid model gets 27 mpg combined with an impressive 65 MPGe combined.**

Standard on every Countryman, this system is designed to seamlessly integrate your MINI with your personal technology—so apps like Pandora® and Spotify® are always at your fingertips. The high-resolution 6.5-inch screen makes it easy for you to see convenient features, including real-time traffic, weather, gas mileage and nearby gas stations, and calendar appointments.

Three Driving Modes 

Slip into the driver's seat of any MINI model, and you know you are guaranteed a powerful and refined ride. But due to the Countryman's standard adjustable Driving Mode system, you can choose to match the sophisticated drivetrain options to your mood. Pick Sport Mode to tighten your steering and adjust the throttle to push you into a more aggressive and thrilling drive or, if you're in the mood to be sustainable, switch to Green Mode, which allows for optimized fuel delivery through adjusted shift points and a smart coasting feature.

For those looking for a vehicle with a little bit more luxury, the 2018 MINI Clubman offers everything you'd find in the more traditional Cooper model but tosses in premium features and additional luxury.
