The Lincoln Navigator is the flagship model in the luxury automaker’s lineup, and the finishing touches are being put on the 2018 model. Here's the latest on what fans can expect with the upcoming model release.

When the original concept was revealed at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, it included a redesigned body, gullwing doors, and a three-step entry. We’re counting on seeing similar body styling in the production model that will elevate the Navigator in its segment and propel it above the competition, but we’re not expecting the inclusion of the two latter features.

The 2018 Navigator will sit on top of the same redesigned underpinnings as the 2018 Ford Expedition that will provide increased rigidity along with a lighter curb weight for better handling. We also expect the new Lincoln model to include a fender vent and full-width taillights.

When it comes to power, the Navigator will come with plenty. Under the hood, it will likely house the same 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 that produces up to 400 horsepower.

And to top it all off, we can expect to see Matthew McConaughey in a new commercial spot at the end of this year.
