What's New?
The 2018 Q50 has two new body styles, four different trims, and a new suite of driver support technology called ProPILOT.
Overview
The 2018 Q50 is INFINITI’s answer to German sport sedans like the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. To compete with those segment stalwarts, INFINITI's Q50 deploys an impressive array of technology ranging from a steer-by-wire system to adaptive suspension. The Q50 got a major powertrain overhaul for the 2016 model year, and the changes continued in 2017 with the addition of more Sport models to the lineup. Now, the new trims take the 2018 version to the next level.
The Q50 is a true luxury sedan, one with a generous array of standard equipment that includes dual-zone automatic climate control, a tilt and telescopic steering column, rain-sensing wipers, Bluetooth®, and SiriusXM® satellite radio. Direct Adaptive Steering, INFINITI's famous steer-by-wire system, is still present (and even more responsive) on the 2018 Q50 while the ProPILOT technology suite offers Intelligent Cruise Control, Active Lane Control, Distance Control Assist, Backup Collision Intervention, Forward Emergency Braking, and more.
The 2018 Q50 starts at $34,200.* Contact 3Birds Template today to learn more about the next generation of this popular sport sedan.
The Perfect Ride for…
Drivers who want the speed and power of a muscle car with the design and comfort of a luxury vehicle. The 2018 INFINITI Q50 marks the perfect middle ground between the two, boasting an array of tech and entertainment features that will keep drivers connected and entertained, as well as offering a variety of powertrain options and the sleek handling of a sports car. The driver-focused Q50 has all of the features you want with the power you crave.
Drive & Handling
The new Q50 has four different engine options, including a 2.0-liter I4 turbocharged engine that produces 208 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque; a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that produces 300 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque or 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque, depending on the model; and a hybrid option with a 360-hp 3.5-liter V6 engine and a lithium-ion battery. The 2018 Q50 also comes with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, so it's suitable for all of your driving needs.
The EPA rates the 300-hp version at 23 mpg combined (20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway) with rear-wheel drive, and 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive.** The hybrid is rated at 29 mpg combined (27 mpg city, 32 mpg highway) with rear-wheel drive, and 28 mpg combined (26 mpg city, 30 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive, while the 2.0-liter engine is estimated at 25 mpg combined (23 mpg city, 30 mpg highway) with rear-wheel drive and 24 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 28 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive.**
In addition to its sophisticated powertrains, the Q50 also features INFINITI’s Direct Adaptive Steering system, a steer-by-wire system that eliminates the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels. Making the Dynamic Digital Suspension system even more attractive, it actively adjusts the shock absorbers to control body motion while cornering.
