New for 2017

INFINITI's seven-passenger SUV gets a more powerful engine with no sacrifice in fuel economy for 2017, plus new available features including an updated multimedia screen and power hands-free liftgate.

Where space meets style

If you’re in the market for a spacious SUV that incorporates impressive levels of standard equipment and innovative safety technology, we highly recommend the 2017 INFINITI QX60. With its quiet cabin, easy access to third-row seating, and exceptional passenger comfort, there are more reasons than ever to test-drive the QX60 today at 3Birds Template.

Performance

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 is available with two powertrain options: one straight gasoline internal-combustion, the other a gasoline-electric hybrid.

The first is a revised 3.5-liter V6 that now produces 295 horsepower (up from 265) and 270 pound-feet of torque (up from 248). It comes mated to a CVT automatic transmission, with your choice of standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive. The QX60 also features the INFINITI Drive Mode Selector with a rotary knob that allows drivers to switch between Standard, Sport, Eco, and Snow driving modes, depending on conditions. The transmission also has a manual mode that simulates shifting gears.

Despite its boosted power, the QX60's exceptional fuel economy doesn't waver. With front-wheel drive, the V6 version gets an EPA-rated 23 mpg combined (21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway), or 22 mpg combined (19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway) with all-wheel drive.*

For truly impressive fuel economy, there’s the QX60 Hybrid. This model features a 2.5-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, which put out a combined 250 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. The electric motor gets its power from a lithium-ion battery pack and takes advantage of the same CVT as the standard V6 model.

Like the V6 model, the QX60 Hybrid is offered with a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. With front-wheel drive, it gets an EPA-rated 26 mpg combined (26 mpg city, 28 mpg highway), while the all-wheel drive version gets essentially the same fuel economy, but loses 1 mpg in the city category.*

Features

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 is a five-door, seven-seat crossover starting at $43,100.**

Standard features on this luxurious crossover include 18-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, LED exterior lighting, a power rear liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, leather seating surfaces, heated 8-way driver and 6-way passenger power seats, electroluminescent gauges, a 7-inch central display, and rearview camera, among other features.

In addition to the standard equipment, there are several option packages available. The Premium Package includes a 13-speaker Bose® audio system; a heated steering wheel; remote engine start; and a dual-occupant memory system for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside mirrors.

The Premium Plus Package builds on the Premium Package with the new INFINITI InTouch™ navigation system with an 8.0-inch touchscreen display; six months of INFINITI InTouch™ safety, security, and convenience features; voice recognition; INFINITI’s AroundView® Monitor safety system; rain-sensing windshield wipers, and other features.

For rear-seat entertainment, there’s also a Theater Package that includes dual 7-inch monitors, two sets of wireless headphones, a remote control, as well as all of the necessary outlets and input jacks.

Yet another option is the Deluxe Technology Package, which adds several electronic driver aids as well as a 15-speaker Bose® Cabin Surround sound system; power moonroof; cooled front seats and heated outboard rear seats; and an Advanced Climate Control System with auto recirculation, Plasmacluster® air purifier, and Grape Polyphenol filter.

Design

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 takes styling elements from the brand’s cars and translates them into the larger crossover format for an attractive package. The QX60 received a redesigned grille in 2016, which further elevates the crossover's exterior to new heights.

On the inside, a flat-platform floor enhances interior space, while 60/40 split-folding second row and 50/50 split-folding third-row seats make it easy to switch between carrying passengers and carrying cargo. The second row is specially designed to allow it to be moved with a child seat installed—allowing easy access to the third row, even when the little ones are in tow.

Up front, the QX60 features INFINITI’s signature “wave” instrument panel for a more stylish look. Acoustic glass and new engine mounts further reduce the amount of noise transmitted into the cabin.

Safety

Standard safety equipment on the 2017 INFINITI QX60 includes anti-lock brakes, stability and traction controls, a full array of airbags, and a RearView Monitor camera.

In addition, there are several electronic safety systems available as options, including INFINITI’s AroundView® Monitor with Moving Object Detection and front and rear sonar system, which is available as part of the Premium Plus Package.

There’s also the Driver Assistance Package, which adds Intelligent Cruise Control, brake assist, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, Backup Collision Intervention, and Distance Control Assist, as well as other non-safety related features.

Finally, the Deluxe Technology Package includes lane-departure warning and prevention, blind-spot intervention, and front Pre-Crash Seat Belts.

Verdict

The 2017 INFINITI QX60 elegantly blends form and function, all while providing the invigorating driving dynamics that have become a hallmark of INFINITI models.
