Buick is poised to continue its stellar track record of reinvention with the all-new 2017 Lacrosse, which will make its world debut later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Eagle-eyed fans will recognize many design cues inspired by the Avenir concept on this new model, including a grille design that will be adopted by all Buick models by 2018.

The grille offers a new take on the tri-shield insignia set against a wing-shaped element, which spans the darkened waterfall grille bars. This polished design also pays homage to the 1954 Wildcat II concept. Here, it’s just the first example of the fine balancing act the new LaCrosse walks between Buick history and cutting-edge design.

In keeping with its forward-looking theme, the new LaCrosse is slimmed down with an all-new chassis that’s stronger yet lighter than the current one. The result is a more dynamic experience behind the wheel coupled with traditional Buick peace of mind. For even more confidence on the road, Buick is offering a five-link rear suspension—a rarity not often found among full-size luxury models, including the Lexus ES.
