At 3Birds Template we understand the importance of vehicle safety. We want to you to get where you need to go, and as safely as possible. And we believe the best vehicle to do just that is a Volkswagen.

That’s why we are proud to inform you that the 2016 Volkswagen Golf 4-door, Golf SportWagen, Golf GTI 4-door, and Jetta (pictured) models equipped with available Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist) system, have all been awarded 2015 Top Safety Pick+ ratings by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

With so many things to distract drivers these days, you can no longer rely on your own good driving habits to stay safe. You need a vehicle that offers a combination of both passive and active systems that are designed to meet or exceed current crash regulations.

The 2016 Golf, Golf SportWagen, Golf GTI, and Jetta models provide all of that. Each model is equipped with Volkswagen’s Automatic Post-Collision Braking System as standard and are available with even more advanced safety features, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist), an active Lane Departure Warning system (Lane Assist), and Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert.

Volkswagen’s Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking system are particular impressive—and useful. They utilize radar sensors combined with a camera to help monitor the distance of traffic ahead. In the event of a forward collision, audible and visual alerts are sent to the driver.

If necessary, and at speeds above 19 mph, the Autonomous Emergency Braking is initiated to slow the vehicle down. The system can even activate itself if no action is taken by the driver once a collision is detected.

Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking are just a few of the cutting-edge technologies Volkswagen is using to keep you safe behind the wheel.
