New for 2016

The 2016 Cadillac ATS sees a few changes compared to last year, including some new paint colors (Cocoa Bronze Metallic, Moonstone Metallic, and Stellar Black Metallic), an available 3.6-liter V6 LGX engine, and a new 8-speed automatic transmission, as well as a host of technological upgrades to the Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system.

The Soul of a Race car

Introduced in 2015, the 2016 Cadillac ATS is a sport-luxury vehicle that’s sure to satisfy anyone interested in a handsome car as capable in the curves as it is on the straightaway. Stylish sheet metal hides a pulsing beast of an engine, and the ATS's luxurious interior is exceedingly comfortable. Bu who says you have to trade comfort for speed?

Powertrains and Performance

As attractive as the 2016 ATS looks on the outside, what fun would it be if it couldn’t back up that aggressive appearance with a bit of power? Luckily for you, the ATS is no poseur, its standard 2.0-liter Turbo engine delivering an impressive 295 lb-ft of torque and 272 hp. Purchasing the sedan version of the ATS nets you the option of an exceedingly efficient 2.5-liter engine, and both the ATS Coupe and Sedan can be outfitted with a 3.6-liter C6 capable of 335 hp when paired with its 8-speed automatic transmission.

It’s a dream to drive, too, with its advanced aerodynamics and a five-link rear independent suspension, not to mention available magnesium paddle shifters and magnetic ride control™, combining for an incredibly smooth ride. Whether you pick the Coupe or Sedan version, you’ll find that the 2016 ATS not only has a lot of power, it also knows how to use it.

Design

There’s no question that the 2016 Cadillac ATS is an attractive vehicle, one guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go. On the outside, the ATS is handsome without being desperate for attention, with clean, chiseled lines that sweep from the front tires to the rear brake lights, and smooth curves that evoke images of a drawn bow—exceptional power just waiting to break free.

On the inside, the ATS is equally sporty and luxurious, and available options allow you to add every high-quality material you could ask for, from wood to leather to metal. Cut and sewn upholstery adds a classic touch to the interior, especially when you familiarize yourself with the wide variety of color options available. They range from Jet Black Leatherette to Morello Red with Jet Black accents to Light Neutral with Medium Cashmere accents, so no matter your taste, there will be one that suits you.

Safety

In addition to the standard set of airbags, including front knee airbags, the 2016 Cadillac ATS also comes with a comprehensive set of optional safety features to help keep you safe while out and about, such as lane departure warning, a backup camera, and adaptive cruise control. The optional Driver Awareness Package, which includes Forward Collision Safety, is so useful, it earned the ATS the top “superior” rating in front crash prevention from the IIHS this year.
